I've been thinking about pursuing a career in Egyptology. As of now I'm a freshman in a community college. At first, I was planning to major in Accounting, but I receive no enjoyment or excitement when I learn new aspects of the field. I've started to read some books that are about Ancient Egypt and I find myself craving more information on Ancient Egypt. I've always been interested in archaeology, but never considered it as a career until now. If anyone reading this article can provide advice, as to how I should become an Egyptologist, such as: schools that are good, books I should read, or people I should talk to, your help is very appreciated.

Thank you Adam

I am also reading David M. Rohl's book, however, it is being sold in the USA as "Pharaohs and Kings: A Biblical Quest. The same name as the A&E 3-hour documentary narrated by David M. Rohl. He not only is excellent at supporting his "New Chronology", he also confronts his critics head-on. Additionally, he makes the point that once a historical date is established by a respected authority in the field, experts are reluctant to challenge it. They will even go to extremes to make historical events fit the accepted date.
